A tragic car-motorcycle collision in Malé has claimed the life of a 21-year-old man. The young victim, identified as Leevan from Gaafu Dhaalu Vaadhoo Island, succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
The accident occurred at the junction of Boduthakurufaanu Road and Koimala Road, where Leevan was riding his motorcycle. After the collision, he was rushed to IGMH and placed on a ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Despite efforts to save him, he passed away late last night.
Both the motorcycle and the car involved in the accident sustained damage. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
This tragic event follows another fatal car-motorcycle collision in Hulhumalé just last Friday night, where a 23-year-old man also lost his life.
