Renowned Maldivian chef Maha Naseer represented the Maldives on the international stage as a judge at the prestigious LaCuisine Competition 2024, held from November 12th to 16th in Jakarta, Indonesia. The event, one of Southeast Asia’s largest food and beverage exhibitions, brought together 989 participants from across Asia to celebrate the region’s rich culinary diversity.

Chef Maha, who participated under The Chefs Guild of Maldives, was among 44 esteemed international judges from countries such as Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, China, the Philippines, and Norway. Her role underscored her status as a culinary expert, being the first Maldivian to achieve the Masterchef title from the World Master Chefs Society and a certified continental judge of the World Association of Chefs’ Societies.
Beyond her judging responsibilities, Maha Naseer serves on the board of the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), highlighting her influence in promoting Maldivian culture and tourism globally. Her participation at the LaCuisine Competition 2024 not only showcased her individual accomplishments but also elevated the profile of Maldivian culinary arts on an international platform.
