Later, the President will travel to Rasdhoo, where he is scheduled to meet with representatives from the Alifu Alifu Atoll Council, as well as the councils of Thoddoo and Ukulhas. In Mathiveri, his engagements will extend to further discussions with local leaders.
The tour continues with a visit to Himandhoo, where President Muizzu plans to meet with council members from Himandhoo, Maalhos, Feridhoo, and Bodufolhudhoo. Additionally, discussions with WDC members from these islands will focus on addressing key challenges and exploring opportunities for development.
On Monday, the President is scheduled to visit three islands in Kaafu Atoll: Gaafaru, Huraa, and Himmafushi. In each location, he will engage with the respective Island Councils, WDCs, and residential communities to understand their concerns and aspirations.
Throughout the tour, President Muizzu is expected to discuss the progress of government-led infrastructure and socio-economic projects, as well as address challenges faced by the islands. The trip underscores the administration’s commitment to enhancing development and fostering closer collaboration with local councils and committees.
This marks a significant effort by the President to ensure that the voices of island communities are heard directly at the national level, reaffirming his pledge to work closely with local stakeholders for the advancement of all Maldivian regions.
