Body of Man Who Fell from Safari Vessel Recovered from Sea

The body of a Maldivian man who fell from a safari vessel near a resort in Alifu Dhaalu Atoll has been recovered by the authorities.

The deceased has been identified as Ali Arshad, a resident of Holhudhoo in Noonu Atoll. According to reports, his body was discovered by divers from the Coast Guard’s Malé Area Command Second Squadron at a depth of 69 meters and was subsequently transported to a speedboat.

The incident occurred when Arshad fell from the deck of the safari vessel into the sea on Monday night. The circumstances surrounding his fall remain unclear, and the authorities have yet to determine the cause.

The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) confirmed that investigations into the incident are ongoing as they work to establish the details surrounding the tragic event.
