Fenaka Announces Utility Bill Discounts for Ramadan in Line with President’s Decision

Fenaka Corporation has confirmed that it will offer discounts on both water and electricity bills during this year’s Ramadan, following a directive from President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

The utility company unveiled details of its discount structure, outlining four specific ways customers will benefit during the holy month. Fenaka aims to ease the financial burden on households by ensuring that utility bills do not spike during Ramadan.

One of the key methods of applying the discount involves comparing the bill for Ramadan with the average bills from previous months, excluding the months of February, March, and April, which were notably warmer last year. If the difference between the Ramadan bill and the average from the last nine months exceeds 10 percent, a 10 percent discount will be automatically applied. This discount will also apply in cases where the Ramadan bill is lower than the average monthly cost.

In a bid to include all customers, Fenaka has also extended this 10 percent discount to new customers receiving water and electricity services for the first time this Ramadan. This ensures that everyone, regardless of when they begin service, can enjoy the benefits of the discount.

The company emphasized that these adjustments were made with customers’ needs in mind, particularly to prevent utility bills from rising unexpectedly. Fenaka reassured customers that they could easily estimate their bills in advance with the new structure, making it easier for households to plan their finances throughout the month of Ramadan.

This initiative reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to provide support to citizens during the holy month, with the aim of making utilities more affordable for everyone.
