First Lady Condemns Attack on MDP Activist, Calls for Restraint and Justice

First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has strongly condemned the attack on Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) activist Mariyam Zubair, after she was splashed with black oil in an apparent act of political intimidation.

In a statement on her official ‘X’ account, the First Lady denounced such attacks, emphasizing that harassment and acts of violence have no place in society. She called for restraint and justice, urging all parties to avoid escalating tensions and to allow the legal process to take its course.
