The Maldives Blood Services (MBS) has released a revised schedule for its operations during the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr holidays, ensuring continued service while accommodating the national festivities.
According to the announcement, MBS will remain closed on the day of Eid if it falls on March 31. Services will resume the following day, operating in two daily shifts from April 1 to April 6 — between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., and again from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
If Eid is declared a day earlier, on March 30, MBS will adjust accordingly. The day will be observed as a public holiday, and services will remain available until April 5 under the same revised schedule.
MBS confirmed that normal operating hours will resume on April 7, after the conclusion of the Eid break.
The announcement aims to inform donors and the public while ensuring uninterrupted blood donation services during the holiday period.
