President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu met with Maldivian students studying in Liverpool, United Kingdom, on Sunday, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to addressing the concerns of students pursuing higher education abroad.
The meeting, held over lunch, provided an opportunity for students to share their experiences, challenges, and academic aspirations with the President. Dr. Muizzu engaged in discussions about their well-being and assured them that the Government remains dedicated to resolving issues faced by Maldivians studying overseas.
Expressing his delight in meeting the students, the President commended their dedication to academic excellence and acknowledged the importance of creating a supportive environment for Maldivians pursuing education abroad. He also highlighted his administration’s ongoing efforts to enhance the education sector, both locally and for students studying internationally.
Dr. Muizzu regularly meets with Maldivian students and expatriates during his overseas visits, using these interactions to gain firsthand insights into their experiences. His engagements aim to strengthen ties with the Maldivian diaspora and explore ways in which the Government can assist them in overcoming everyday challenges.
