President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has confirmed that his administration now has a fully developed and actionable roadmap to deliver on the wide range of development projects promised in his presidential manifesto.
The announcement came through a message shared on the President’s official WhatsApp Channel following a high-level Cabinet working session held on Tuesday. The President described the session as productive, noting that a comprehensive strategy has been finalised to move forward with the government’s key infrastructure and service delivery pledges.
Attended by Cabinet ministers and top officials from major state-owned enterprises, the meeting focused on aligning strategies and assessing progress on national development priorities. Presentations were made by several critical institutions, including the State Trading Organization (STO), Waste Management Corporation, Fenaka Corporation, Road Development Corporation, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), and Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC).
According to President Muizzu, these development projects are not just policy items, but crucial steps toward advancing the nation’s long-term goals. He underscored the importance of adhering to timelines, improving transparency, and delivering results that meet the expectations of the public.
He also instructed agencies to take immediate steps in resolving obstacles raised during the meeting, and to ensure that the public is kept informed about the status and progress of each project. “These projects are vital for our nation’s development, and we are fully committed to completing them as pledged. We call on all agencies and stakeholders to keep the momentum going,” the President stated.
The session served not only as a progress check but also as a collaborative platform for identifying bottlenecks and enhancing coordination among government ministries and SOEs. By refining internal processes and reinforcing accountability, the government hopes to fast-track implementation and maintain public trust in its development agenda.
This initiative reflects President Muizzu’s broader focus on structured governance and measurable outcomes, marking a shift toward performance-driven execution of national projects under his administration.
