The prestigious accolade, often likened to the Oscars of commercial aviation, was bestowed upon the Middle Eastern carrier by Skytrax, reinforcing its reputation as a leader in the global aviation industry.
Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted lauded Qatar Airways’ achievement, emphasizing the significance of the award in recognizing the airline’s exceptional standards of service across its modern fleet. The ceremony, held at a manor house near London’s Heathrow Airport, gathered industry leaders and cabin crew to celebrate Qatar Airways’ continued success.
“This is a remarkable achievement for Qatar Airways to win this World’s Best Airline title for 2024, the eighth time they have triumphed,” remarked Plaisted in an official statement. “We congratulate Qatar Airways on this success which should be a source of great pride and satisfaction for the airline management and staff.”
