President Muizzu Condemns Attempted Assassination of Former President Donald Trump

Maldives President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has joined a chorus of global leaders in condemning the brazen assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump, which unfolded during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday evening. The shocking incident has sent shockwaves across the political spectrum, prompting swift responses from international leaders and law enforcement agencies alike.

In a tweet expressing solidarity, President Dr. Muizzu stated, “Violence has no place in politics, and I strongly condemn all forms of violence everywhere. Our thoughts and best wishes are with former President Donald Trump, his family, and others injured during the attack.”

Multiple gunshots rang out from a rooftop near the rally site, striking Trump in the ear and causing him to drop to the stage in pain.
