Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, has announced the introduction of an additional flight on its popular Maldives-Trivandrum route in response to rising passenger demand. Currently operating four weekly flights from Malé to Trivandrum on Saturdays, Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, the airline will add a new service every Monday starting from July 22, 2024.
In addition to these flights, Maldivian also connects Hanimaadhoo International Airport to Trivandrum twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.
The new flight, designated as Q2-700, will depart from Malé (MLE) at 18:40 local time, reaching Trivandrum (TRV) at 21:20. The return flight, Q2-701, will depart Trivandrum at 22:20 and arrive back in Malé at 00:01 the next day. Both legs of the journey will be serviced by Dash 8 aircraft, known for their comfort and reliability.
This expanded schedule aims to provide travelers with increased flexibility and convenience when planning their journeys between the Maldives and Trivandrum. Whether traveling for business or leisure, passengers now have more options to choose from between these destinations.
Maldivian is renowned for its extensive domestic and international network, serving 16 domestic airports and connecting to key international destinations including India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. The airline operates the largest fleet of wheel-based aircraft in the Maldives, supplemented by specialized seaplane services, ensuring seamless transportation across the archipelago.
