Top Maldivian Chef Maha Joins Judging Panel at World Junior Chef Battle

Renowned Maldivian chef Maha Naseer has been chosen as a judge for the 2024 World Junior Chef Battle, set to take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from August 28 to 31. This prestigious event will see 16 teams from various countries, including the Maldives, Singapore, and the USA, compete in a showcase of young culinary talent.

Chef Maha brings an impressive resume to the judging panel. She is not only one of the few female executive chefs in the Maldives but also the first Maldivian to receive the coveted Master Chef title from the World Master Chefs Society. This accolade is awarded only to chefs who demonstrate extraordinary skill, leadership, and achievements in the culinary world. Maha’s recognition as a Master Chef underscores her expertise and dedication to elevating Maldivian cuisine on a global stage.

Her culinary journey, which began in her homeland, has seen her work as the Secretary General of the Chef Guild of Maldives and as a Creative Culinary Director at the luxurious Oaga Art Resort. Her unique approach to blending traditional Maldivian flavors with modern techniques has won her numerous national and international awards, solidifying her reputation as a trailblazer in the industry.
