The State Trading Organization (STO), in partnership with AstraZeneca, has introduced two groundbreaking products for managing asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in the Maldives: Symbicort Turbuhaler and Pulmicort Respules.

The official launch event took place on December 7th at Dharumavantha Hospital, bringing together nearly 60 medical professionals. The event highlighted the significance of these innovations in enhancing respiratory health and improving patient care.
Dr. Rennis Davis, a prominent pulmonologist from India, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) guidelines. Dr. Davis explained that these guidelines discourage the overuse of Short-Acting Beta Agonists (SABA) alone, advocating for a comprehensive maintenance and reliever therapy approach to reduce risks and improve outcomes for patients with asthma and COPD.
The newly launched products offer advanced solutions for respiratory care. Symbicort Turbuhaler, a state-of-the-art dry powder inhaler, is user-friendly and provides quick and effective relief compared to conventional SABA inhalers. Pulmicort Respules, designed for nebulization, dissolve through the airway mucus layer within six minutes and deliver a strong pulmonary vasoconstrictive effect in just 30 minutes. This targeted action reduces asthma symptoms and minimizes the risks associated with systemic steroids, offering a safer and more efficient alternative for patients.
The event served as a platform for physicians to discuss guideline-directed treatment strategies to enhance patient outcomes. These innovative solutions are expected to set new standards in respiratory care in the Maldives.
STO expressed its commitment to addressing critical healthcare needs, with a focus on improving the quality of life for Maldivians. The launch of these products underscores STO’s dedication to delivering advanced medical solutions and fostering a healthier community.

Astrazeneca is the company which claimed its Covid vaccine to be safe and then later in court, admitted to it causing blood clotting & low platelet count.
How many Maldivians were killed by the Astrazeneca vaccine? Hundreds!
Accountability? None.
