In a significant step towards expanding healthcare services, Hulhumalé Hospital (HMH) has signed an agreement to establish a 30-bed Dialysis Center, aimed at enhancing treatment capacity for patients requiring dialysis.
The project, which involves 90 days of civil works, is expected to significantly improve access to dialysis services in Hulhumalé, a city experiencing rapid population growth. With the increasing demand for specialized medical care, the expansion is part of broader efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in the area.
Hulhumalé Hospital has been progressively enhancing its facilities to cater to the evolving needs of residents, particularly in chronic disease management. The introduction of the new Dialysis Center will alleviate pressure on existing medical facilities and ensure that patients receive timely and comprehensive care without having to travel long distances.
With construction set to begin shortly, the hospital aims to complete the project within the next three months, marking a major milestone in improving nephrology services in the Maldives.
