Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) is representing the Maldives at the prestigious PATA Travel Mart 2025, being held from 26–28 August at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok.

According to VMC, the Maldives’ participation is focused on promoting the destination as an all-season holiday choice, highlighting the country’s diverse tourism offerings beyond its well-known luxury resorts. From diving and adventure travel to wellness retreats and cultural experiences, the Maldives is being showcased to a broad audience of travel professionals and potential partners.

Officials stressed that international fairs such as PATA Travel Mart form a cornerstone of the Maldives’ global marketing strategy, reinforcing its brand identity while opening new avenues for tourism partnerships in the Asia-Pacific region.

Thailand, the host nation, is considered an important tourism market for the Maldives. Official figures show that 10,165 Thai tourists visited the Maldives by July 2025. Meanwhile, arrivals from the wider Southeast Asian region reached 40,061 during the same period — underscoring the growing potential of this market for the Maldives’ tourism sector.

By leveraging its presence at PATA Travel Mart, VMC aims to consolidate and expand its reach in Southeast Asia, while also strengthening the Maldives’ reputation as a leading luxury and leisure destination on the global stage.
