President Dr Mohamed Muizzu this evening attended the official ceremony celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Attorney General’s Office, held at Barceló Nasandhura.
As part of the milestone commemoration, the President officially launched the Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Book, published by the Attorney General’s Office to highlight its history and achievements. He also inaugurated the Office’s new website, which aims to expand access to information and improve public services.
In recognition of long-standing service, President Muizzu presented awards to staff who have dedicated over 20 years to the Attorney General’s Office. Employees with between 15 and 20 years of service were also honoured at the ceremony, with their awards presented by Attorney General Uz Ahmed Usham.
Attorney General Usham presented a commemorative plaque to the President on behalf of the Office, expressing gratitude for his participation in the historic occasion.
The event was attended by senior officials from the People’s Majlis and the judiciary, along with former Attorneys General, and a large number of past and present staff members.
Concluding the evening, President Muizzu joined a group photo session held to mark the Attorney General’s Office’s Diamond Jubilee.
