President Muizzu Holds Development Talks with Omadhoo Council and Community Leaders

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has met with members of the Omadhoo Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee (WDC), and heads of local institutions to hear concerns and discuss the island’s most pressing development priorities. The meeting took place at the Fenaka Office on Omadhoo.

Council representatives outlined several urgent needs, including improvements to the island’s water and sewerage networks, expansion of school and health centre facilities, and stronger shoreline protection to guard against erosion. Calls were also made for solutions to housing shortages, road upgrades, and the establishment of new sports facilities for the community.

President Muizzu assured participants that their concerns would be given serious consideration, noting that the Government remains committed to delivering sustainable development across the islands. He was joined by cabinet ministers and senior officials from State-Owned Enterprises, who briefed the community on ongoing projects and reaffirmed their support in addressing local challenges.
