President Dr Mohamed Muizzu will meet with residents of Henveiru tonight, continuing his district-level engagement sessions aimed at hearing public concerns directly from citizens.
Presidential Spokesperson Heena Waleed confirmed that the meeting will take place this evening — Sunday, 7 December 2025 at 8:30 p.m. — at Kalaafaanu School. She invited Henveiru residents to attend and take part in the discussion via an announcement shared on X.
These community forums have become a key feature of the administration’s approach to governance, providing a platform where citizens can raise issues related to housing, employment, public services, environmental concerns, and community needs. The administration says the objective is to ensure residents can communicate directly with the President rather than through intermediaries.
Less than two years into his presidency, Dr Muizzu has already visited all inhabited islands across the country, speaking with councils and communities to understand their priorities. After completing the national tour, he began a structured series of meetings within Malé City, with earlier forums held in Machangolhi, Maafannu, and Vilimalé.
The Office of the President notes this is the first time a sitting Maldivian President has implemented a systematic programme of open public dialogues at this scale. All feedback collected during the sessions is documented and forwarded to relevant government agencies for follow-up, while the President also provides updates on national development projects.
