FSM Denies Allegations of Water Contamination in Sold Fuel

Fuel Supply Maldives (FSM) has rebutted claims circulating on social media alleging that the fuel supplied to Gaafu Alifu atoll’s Maamendhoo and Nilandhoo islands contained water.

In a recent statement, FSM clarified that there is no basis to the rumors regarding water contamination in the fuel supplied to these locations. The company affirmed its commitment to stringent quality assurance practices before selling any fuel.

“FSM categorically denies the allegations circulating on social media regarding the presence of water in the fuel supplied to Nilandhoo and Maamendhoo in Gaafu Alifu atoll,” the statement read.

The company further reassured its customers by highlighting that every barge used for fuel transportation is equipped with rigorous testing facilities. These measures are in place to uphold the quality standards of the fuel sold across the Maldives.

In addition to addressing the allegations, FSM emphasized the importance of proper fuel storage facilities and adherence to regulatory guidelines. The company urged all fuel sellers to comply with these regulations and seek guidance from relevant authorities to maintain the integrity of fuel quality.
