Qatar Airways has announced a new interline partnership with Maldivian, the national carrier of the Maldives, aimed at enhancing travel experiences for passengers heading to the tropical paradise. The partnership allows travelers to book both Qatar Airways and Maldivian flights in a single transaction on the Qatar Airways website, simplifying the journey to one of the Maldives’ many beautiful islands.
Under the new agreement, passengers flying with Qatar Airways to Velana International Airport can seamlessly connect to their onward domestic flights with Maldivian. Upon arrival in the airport, travelers will be guided to the domestic terminal for their connecting flights, making the transition to their final destination smooth and hassle-free.
Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Thierry Antinori, expressed excitement about the new partnership, stating, “At Qatar Airways, we continuously strive to enhance our services to provide passengers with innovative and inviting travel experiences. With our latest interline partnership with Maldivian, we are pleased to offer a seamless booking process that includes both Qatar Airways flights to Malé and the connecting Maldivian flights to their beachside getaway.”

The collaboration between Qatar Airways and Maldivian offers travelers increased flexibility, competitive fares, and coordinated flight schedules, enhancing international connectivity to 17 domestic destinations in the Maldives, including popular spots like Dharavandhoo, Fuvahmulah, Gan, and Hanimaadhoo. The partnership is expected to significantly benefit tourism, providing greater access to the Maldives’ renowned natural beauty.
Maldivian, the leading domestic airline in the Maldives, operates a fleet that includes both seaplanes and wheel-based aircraft, serving 17 domestic destinations as well as routes to Bangladesh, India, and Sri Lanka.
Qatar Airways, known for its industry excellence, was recently awarded Skytrax’s World’s Best Airline for a record eighth time. The airline currently serves over 170 destinations worldwide, including daily flights to Malé.
