The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced an opportunity for developers to take on the construction of new parking buildings in Hulhumale’. This project, now open for Expressions of Interest (EOI), aims to address the pressing parking issues in the rapidly growing city.
HDC has emphasized that these new parking facilities will not only provide much-needed parking space but will also include commercial units, enhancing the overall utility of the buildings. The project aligns with HDC’s ongoing efforts to improve urban infrastructure and the quality of life for Hulhumale’ residents.
In their call for EOIs, HDC stated that priority will be given to proposals based on the EPC Plus F model—encompassing Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Finance. However, they are open to considering other models as well, provided they present a comprehensive and feasible plan.
When evaluating submissions, HDC will take into account factors such as the proposed business model, the experience of the operator, and the level of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) demonstrated. If multiple parties express interest, the project will be awarded to the proposal that best meets these criteria.
Interested developers are invited to submit their EOIs via email to [email protected] before 2 p.m. on September 16.
As Hulhumale’ continues to evolve, HDC says they remain committed to enhancing the city’s infrastructure, making it a more convenient and modern urban space for its residents.
