The President’s Office has confirmed that government offices will operate from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. throughout the holy month of Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal.
The announcement follows a practice established in 1443 Hijri (2022), when the government adjusted official working hours to accommodate the fasting month. The decision, outlined in a directive issued by the President’s Office on March 6, 2022, ensures that employees have a more flexible schedule during this period.
The adjustment is intended to support civil servants and government employees in managing their work responsibilities while observing Ramadan. Similar measures have been implemented in past years to facilitate a balance between professional duties and religious observances.
As the country prepares for Ramadan, the change in working hours is expected to enhance productivity while allowing employees to fulfill their spiritual commitments. The revised schedule will remain in effect until the conclusion of the first seven days of Shawwal.
