President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Shuaib Abdul Rahman as the new President of the National Integrity Commission (NIC).
Shuaib, who has been serving as a member of the Commission, assumed the role following the completion of the previous president’s term. This marks his second tenure as a member of the NIC.
The appointment was made under the authority granted to the President by the National Integrity Commission Act.
The NIC is mandated with overseeing law enforcement agencies and ensuring integrity, accountability, and compliance within the country’s policing and investigative bodies.
With this appointment, the Commission continues its work to strengthen public trust in the nation’s law enforcement institutions through independent oversight and ethical governance.
