Nominations Open for National Award for Public Service

The National Awards Committee has officially opened nominations for the National Award for Public Service, inviting applications from today until March 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM. The award criteria have been published in the Government Gazette, and nominations can be submitted via the designated portal: apply.presidency.gov.mv.

The National Award for Public Service honors individuals who have dedicated over 35 years to government service. Eligible nominees must have worked in:

  • State-owned enterprises
  • Companies where the government holds a majority share

Nominations can be filed by organizations or submitted individually by those meeting the eligibility criteria.

Award Criteria and Recognition

Recipients of the National Award for Public Service will be honored by the President of the Maldives with:

  • A shield
  • A badge of honor
  • An official certificate of recognition

The National Awards Committee will evaluate nominees based on the quality of their service, their contributions to national development, and their achievements in their respective fields.

The committee urges all applicants to ensure completeness in their submissions by attaching all necessary documentation along with their application forms.
