President Muizzu to Engage Hulhumalé Phase II Residents on Thursday

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu will hold a community meeting with residents of Hulhumalé Phase II on Thursday, continuing his series of direct public engagement sessions across the Greater Malé Region.

Chief Spokesperson at the President’s Office, Heena Waleed, announced on Sunday that the meeting is scheduled for 18 December 2025 at 8:30 p.m. and will take place at Salaah’udhdheen School. She said the forum is part of the President’s ongoing effort to listen to community concerns, gather feedback and discuss local development priorities.

The consultation sessions—held both in the atolls and the capital region—are intended to foster open dialogue between the Government and citizens. President Muizzu has already met with residents of Villimalé, Maafannu, Machchangolhi and Henveiru, following his earlier nationwide tour of inhabited islands.

Officials say the meetings are designed to strengthen direct communication with the public, ensuring government policies and development initiatives reflect the needs and expectations of local communities.

Further engagement sessions are expected to continue in other districts of the Greater Malé Region.
