The Ministry of Economic Development, Transport and Trade has announced the addition of three new services to the government’s digital trade platform, Tradian, as part of ongoing efforts to streamline import and export processes.

Users will be able to access and familiarize themselves with these services during a transition period lasting until June 10. From June 11 onwards, the services will be made available exclusively through the Tradian portal.

Tradian is a centralized online system designed to simplify trade-related procedures for businesses in the Maldives by integrating multiple government agencies into a single platform. The initiative forms part of the broader development agenda of President Mohamed Muizzu aimed at enhancing efficiency in public services.

Officials noted that the platform was developed in consultation with key economic stakeholders and business representatives to better meet the needs of the private sector.

The ministry also confirmed that support services, including a dedicated contact number and email assistance, have been established to help users navigate the platform as the new features are rolled out.

The expansion of Tradian is expected to further ease administrative processes for businesses and improve the overall efficiency of trade operations in the country.
