The renewed agreement aims to enhance opportunities for Maldivian youth to gain vocational training and practical work experience, contributing to national education and workforce development efforts. Under the programme, MPL will continue to conduct apprenticeship training across designated fields within its operations.

As part of the collaboration, the Youth Ministry will promote the apprenticeship initiative among young people while overseeing the quality and progress of training sessions. Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive a National Certificate Level 3 qualification, formally recognizing their technical and professional skills.

To date, MPL has completed 11 batches of the National Apprenticeship Programme in partnership with the Ministry. Officials from both institutions stated that renewing the MoU represents a continued commitment to empowering youth, creating employment pathways, and fostering hands-on industry experience for the next generation of Maldivian professionals.
